Ramblings
What is a blog except a ramble? Anyway, here goes.
Right now in the office, alot of croup like symptoms. High fever, barky cough, nasal congestion, drainage and feeling lousy. Can be all of these symptoms or just a few. I bet responsible for at least 80% of all sick visits over the last few weeks. Remember, fever and cough together usually viral, however, cough for a few days w/out fever, then fever spike, or fever for a few days then developing cough-possible pneumonia-then need to be seen.
At QT today getting drinks for my kids. I saw a guy, I guess about 50 buying 2 heat-em and eat-em hamburgers, bag of chips, package of powder donuts, and pack of cigs. Only thing missing was a 12 pack. I mean he was not the picture of health but he is still living. The body must be really resilient. Of course probably not much different than the happy meal my kids get from McDonalds-but usually cigs are not included.
The heat and eat em stuff brings back memories from high school (the drinking age was 18 when I was a senior in high school) and college. We called those things ham and blow cheese. You know, too much beer, hungry, eating a sandwich from QT-before the good sandwiches they have now-and usually the sandwich returned the way it entered. Sorry for the gross image, but I bet a lot of you have been there before. So I did smile seeing the guy buy the hamburgers.
Since I have lost most of you know, I will finish with a song I heard today. Cannot believe over 17 years old. Man, this album is a classic. You know when you listen to an entire CD/album, which is rare today b/c of iTunes, and you are literally in awe when it is finished. Couple of REM albums were like that for me in the 80's and some may say the Led Zep IV or a Beatles album does it for them. Let me know which one does it or did it for you.
This is mine. Pearl Jam 10. You know, grunge, flannel, Cobain, Vedder, Seattle.

Coldplay, Rush of Blood to the Head. Loud in the car with no kids. That does it for me.

I would have to say It was Bush beer and bean burritos from QT for me... the album had to be Fleetwood Mac's greatest Hits or Bon Jovi's Cross Road... legal drinking age was 21 for me, but - Somehow we always managed to get our stash on the weekend :)

My peace in the car is either without the kid or putting in a movie while I listen to Jason Mraz!
I can honestly say that I have never had a convenient store hamburger before.
