We are having some work done on or house. A subcontractor came over to give a bid. While at my house he asked if he could go the bathroom.

My mother was there and hesitantly said yes. Well he was in there a long time and subsequently clogged the toilet up but left without telling us.

I called him this morning and said that since we were out of town and the toilet could not be plunged- we needed a plumber. I asked if he would pay for it. He got defensive and said it was not his fault?

I mean should workers take a ....(use any word you like) at your house? And if they do, shouldn't they be responsible for the uh, outcome?

Same thing happened to us! Garage door repairman. He spent about 15 minutes fixing our garage door, and 30 minutes stinking up our house. When he asked if he could use the restroom, I wasn't expecting THAT
