Well I am officially an old man now. Turned 30 again (for the 15th time). Closer to AARP than LXA. Just seemed like yesterday I was 30, oops I mean 40. So what has happened in the past 5 years?
I opened up my own practice-which has been awesome. My wife had a baby--sounds better than I fathered a child--that sounds ridiculous. I helped open up a pediatric urgent care clinic. My hair is longer. I learned to snowboard. I am stronger now than I have ever been. (that is just a reflection on how little I cared when I was a teenager). Drinking better beer. Started drinking some wine this year.
What to expect in the next 5 years. Trying to become a more patient dad--wow, that will be the hardest. Continuing to become a better husband and a better physician. My goal for my practice is in the next 5 years that all communication with my patients will be whatever is easiest for you. text, email, IM, etc. I expect that in 5 years that I will be doing more and more house calls. Why physicans got away from this I am not sure. This is a daunting task, but something I think is important to do.
Thank all of you for being part of my life over the last 5 years, (and many alot longer). I am very fortunate to be a physician and to take care of your children.
Happy Birthday Dr. Raley and thank you for taking such good care of our Bri.

While I haven't been to Flemings for the steak sandwich you are fond of, wanted to let you know about the bleu cheese steak sandwich at the new Boulder Grill downtown in the renovated Holiday Inn hotel. Thick slices of steak, mixed greens, tomato, and bleu cheese with crispy steak fries or sweet potato fries with chipotle mayo. They just opened a couple of weeks ago so weeknights are not busy yet.
