Blogging Guest

As Dr. Raley indicated in his last blog, I will be guest blogging for him over the next several weeks, to get started I want to tell you all a little about myself.

I am from Tulsa(have lived here since the 5 grade), graduated from Union High School in 1988 and graduated from OU in 1992. I also have a Masters in Telecommuncations Management from OSU.  As you know Dr Raley and his entire family are die hard Sooners Fans but they did all attend my graduation in Gallagher IBA arena.   Dr. Raley and I have been married for 11 years this month.  We spent 2 years in Dallas, which were really fun.  But moved back to Tulsa after his residency.  We have three kids.  A set of twins and a new baby. 

I worked for WorldCom for a long time until we had our kids and then I stayed at home until we opened the new practice. I help Dr. Raley by running the front office and doing the books. 

I do want to let everyone know that I used Food Pyramid's on line ordering for groceries today and it went fairly well.  I have ordered groceries on line in the past from IGA and I always to try to do this if we go on vacation and stay in a condo.  I think it saves me a lot of time.  Especially on vacation, who wants to fight that Destin crowd at the super walmart!!  There were a few mistakes but I must admit that they were the user error on my part.  I am going to try our Reasor's on line ordering this week also, so I will let you know how that goes.

I am currently reading a great book, "House of Meetings" by Martin Amis.  This is one of those books that as soon as you begin reading it you know it is good.  Some of my other favorite books are:  A Man in Full-by Tom Wolfe, The Fountainhead-Ayn Rand, A Prayer for Owen Meany-John Irving, Atonement-Ian McEwan. and The Time Travelers Wife-I cannot remember who wrote this book-but it is really cool.  The most recent music I have been listening to is the Cure and Everclear. 

One last thing:  we are working on "photo story" titled A Visit to Dr. Raley-hope to have that on the blog  in the next few weeks and also I am thinking about putting together a small video/movie (satire), about visiting the office.  Will keep you updated.

I think that most blogs started so people could say what they want and if people wanted to read this information they could. My blog's purpose is certainly different, however, adding a little personal information about me may be beneficial for you all.

I am originally from Tulsa and graduated from Nathan Hale. I did my underdgraduate and medical school at OU and my residency in Dallas at Childrens Medical Center. I have been practicing in Tulsa since 1998.

I have been married almost 10 years and have twins that are 4 1/2.

My favorite rock group is Pearl Jam and my favorite song is "Heroes" by David Bowie.
My favorite TV show is "The Wire" on HBO-if you all have not seen this show-it is amazing. The best show/series that I have ever seen. I also like The Office, Entourage, Scrubs, Rescue Me and the Soprano's.

Lately I have really been into working out and lifting weights-this has been a great stress reducer.

I love my job and feel very fortunate to be able to do something that I enjoy so much.
